other education at elementary, junior high, high, and special needs schools. Instructors are permitted to stay for 1 or 5 years.<br \/>\r\n      Of the number of instructors entering and leaving Japan, the United States has the overwhelming majority, followed by Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. The number has remained almost unchanged since 2006. Of particular note is the Philippines, whose number has increased since around 2012; it can be considered a very important country in education. In fact, the increased number from the Philippines is remarkable, increasing from 109 in 2006 to 1,615 in 2019. In contrast, other Asian countries\u2019 trend of increase is weak.
