contract with the worker\u2019s organization to provide care or care guidance. The period can be 5 years, 3 years, 1 year, or 3 months.<br \/>\r\n      This residence status was newly established in 2017 due to the shortage of nursing care workers in Japan, and at that time, care workers mainly from China and Turkey entered and left Japan.<br \/>\r\n      In 2019, a few from Turkey entered Japan, but the number entering from Southeast Asian countries, for instance, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Indonesia, increased.
