Highly Skilled Professionals (ⅰ) (b)

“Highly Skilled Professionals (ⅰ) (b)” are engaged in activities involving knowledge or technology in the natural sciences and humanities, or related businesses, based on a contract with an organization designated by the Minister of Justice. This working qualification allows management of one’s own business. The period can be 5 years.
The United States and China account for the majority of these professionals, but in recent years, numbers from India have increased significantly. In Europe, slight growth can be seen in France and the United Kingdom, but growth in other countries remains either slight or flat.
