Professor

“Professor” is a residence status for conducting research guidance and educational activities at a university, equivalent institution, or technical college. The period of stay can be 5 years, 3 years, 1 year, or 3 months.
Few changes occur annually in the number of professors. Most are from China, the United States, Canada, India, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Australia, and Thailand is on a slight upward trend. With the exception of 2020 when Japan experienced the coronavirus pandemic, the total number has been rising annually. The number of professors from Egypt is the largest from African countries, and the number from Brazil the largest from South American countries. In Europe, Russia showed a decreasing trend, while France and Italy showed an increasing trend.
