Total number of temporary visitors
China, South Korea, the U.S., and Australia have consistently recorded the highest number of entries to Japan since 2006. In the 2000s, there were many entries from the U.K., but since 2008, Thailand has increased its numbers, and in the 2010s, the situation has reversed. Regional trends in recent years show that while the number of entries from Europe has decreased, those from Southeast Asia have increased.
