Entries from China, South Korea, the U.S., and Australia is prominent. This is followed by entries from Europe, which have been growing in number since 2015, especially from Germany, Italy, and France. One country that has shown a significant change is Russia. The number of Russian nationals entering Japan had rapidly increased from 2008 to 2013, but has been on a downward trend since then. In recent years, the number of people from Southeast Asian countries such as Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia has also gradually increasing.
